Do you know an African American living with epilepsy? Has a friend, family member, or have you ever had a seizure? Epilepsy isn’t always what you see on TV or the movies.

Zeta Phi Beta, Eisai, and the Epilepsy Foundation are partnering to host a special Facebook Live on Wednesday, August 18 at 7:00 PM ET with a young African American woman whose journey with epilepsy inspired a MediKidz comic book to be written about her. This event will feature teenage girl, Isabel, age 14 who will talk about how she manages her epilepsy so she can continue to focus on the things she wants to achieve in her life. Isabel will share her story and will read a passage from the MediKidz book.

You will also learn how young people can become more involved in programs and epilepsy advocacy related efforts at the Epilepsy Foundation.

This event is free and open to the public. If you wish to order a digital or hard copy of the comic book inspired by Isabel, you can order one digitally.  MediKidz comic books series was developed by Eisai and Jumo health. The MediKidz comic books use superheroes to explain medical conditions to children.

These events were brought to you by Eisai and the Epilepsy Foundation.
