1 year old with seizures

Hi-

My 1 yr. old daughter was released from the hospital yesterday after experiencing 2 seizures on Monday.  The first was brief -- maybe 30 sec. - 1minute -- but involved full body convulsions and loss of consciousness.  She had a few staring episodes in the ambulance -- possibly mini-seizures???  The second one took place in the ER 6 hours later.  That was a big one, lasting about 3 minutes.  This time she just went totally rigid and turned completely blue.  Needless to say my husband and I were a little freaked out.  They did a CAT scan, spinal tap, various blood tests, EEG, stool test...everything was normal.  She was put on Cerebyx during her hospital stay, but sent home on no meds b/c everything seemed normal.  Prior to the seizures, she had a stomach bug over the weekend with brief vomiting and diarrhea for a few days.  The ped. neurologist is attributing the seizures to the virus b/c there is no other explanation at this time.  My mom's 2 sisters have epilepsy, so I'm worried she has it, too.  Their onset was at puberty.  The dr. says there is a 50/50 chance she'll have another seizure and if it happens it will be in the next few months.  I'm a nervous wreck.  Any advice is greatly appreciated!
