Fundraising/Sponsoring Ideas

Hello,I am unsure how to go about this so i will give a little bit of info of my past and my current situation. I am a 23 year old female and I have had seizures a long time, they started when i was about 10. It took quite a long time and after many misdiagnosis's my drs finally figured out i had epilepsy. I have the type of seizures that causes me to go unconscious and apparently i shake and jerk violently, i have been told my seizures last from 30 secs to about 3 mins. It takes me a bit to come out of my confusion afterwards and I tend to fall down a lot. I do take meds for my seizures and they have cut the amount of my seizures down abit, but not enough for me to live a 'normal' life. I would like to be at least somewhat independent and my dr has even suggested that i get a service dog. I have been struggling with my insurance for months, and after like 5 months they told me that they did not cover service dogs in my insurance plan. They suggested i either do a fundraiser or get a sponsor. So that is what i am looking into. If anyone has an idea on a good fundraiser idea or perhaps someone knows of a possible Sponsor, i would be most appreciative! (p.s. sorry if this isnt the place to ask. i am very unsure of who to ask about this and my insurance is very little help with info.)

Very sad to know about your condition. My father believes in raising funds for the needy people. He had raised funds for this organization http://www.mission-humanitaire-afrique.org where ONG shammesh use the funds for the development of the poor people by providing the different types of facilities.
