Promoting Epilepsy Awareness

Thu, 11/05/2015 - 02:08

I'm working on a big project in starting a whole new movement in promoting epilepsy awareness in Hawaii, and possibly, nationwide. The Epilepsy Foundation of Hawaii executive director I feel isn't doing a good job to promote epilepsy awareness, especially this month, Epilepsy Awareness Month. I've putten together an epilepsy awareness brochure which I mailed to the Epilepsy Foundation of America. I've shared the brochure with some of my family members because many of them takes epilepsy for granted. They say stuff like "just take your medicine and you're fine" or "Don't use your epilepsy as an excuse to find a job". I'm interacting with others on an epilepsy social network called Myepilepsyteam.com I've also putten together purple ribbons in honor of epilepsy awareness month. Both my mom and dad are going to encourage their co-workers to wear the ribbons to support people with epilepsy.

I've also been trying to contact Mr.Steve Harvey to help promote epilepsy awareness. It sounds crazy but I've done similar projects like this back in high school. If we all work together, we can start a whole new movement in promoting epilepsy awareness.
