Side effects from recovering from epilepsy

Hi. I had epilepsy up until the age of 8 years old. I am now 27. But I keep having these episodes which I put down to being panic attacks. My head just goes. I feel dizzy my throat goes numb. N in general feel rubbish. Are there any known side effects of epilepsy that would link these things. Its only been bad for around 1/2 years now. Thanks jeremy.
