Nobody here can tell you whether you are having seizures of PNES. The only way to know for sure is to get an extended VEEG study done. This can be done if you go to a comprehensive epilepsy center and are seen by an Epileptologist. Ask your treating neurologist to refer you for a VEEG because you suspect that you may have PNES instead of epilepsy. It’s better to get diagnosed earlier than later. I’m a licensed clinical social worker as well as a person with epilepsy and I’ve treated clients with PNES. I’ve posted on the forum many times about what I think about treatment and show people the statistics, etc, but the bottom line is as many as half of those diagnosed with PNES stop having their events as soon as the diagnosis is confirmed and another half show improvement in as little as three months of psychotherapy no matter what type is used, but it may take longer to stop having symptoms all together.
