Switching to Gabapentin

So I am currently taking keppra twice a day and I'm still having auras. I have other things like joint pain and nerve pains. So I was wondering about Gabapentin? What do you think? Good reviews or bad? Should I stick with keppra and add gabapentin? I have just been recently diagnosed with Epilepsy so I just am wondering what is the best route. These meds all have horrible side affects (at least in my opinion). I have several different kinds of seizures so maybe that's why I'm still having auras? If anyone takes Gabapentin please let me know how it works for you or if you have taken it. Just trying to make the best med decisions. Keppra works great for me no side affects that I know of yet and no grand mal seizures just auras.
