14 yo newly diagnosed with Generalized Seizure Disorder frontal lobe dominant but on both sides

Wed, 05/22/2019 - 21:10
HI Everyone, My daughter was just diagnosed with this yesterday. Her seizures are not even seen by the naked eye but has a lot of seizure activity based on her EEG. Her Doctor prescribed 1000 mg of Keppra, stating after 2 years on the medication, she may outgrow it. I am extremely worried about the side effects from the medication and was told CBD was not an option. I'm most concerned about the possibility of depression, suicidal thoughts and violent outburst. I would appreciate any feedback on what sort of side effects that you or your teen has experienced. This is a lot to take in. Thank you '
