THE WADA TEST WAS SCARY!!!!

Thu, 10/24/2013 - 16:59

I was scheduled to take the Wada test yesterday morning at 6:30 am. Oh my gosh. It was the MOST scariest and MOST painful test I have ever been through. When the catheter went up my leg, my entire body tensed up like a stick was placed up my behind. YIKES!!!! It hurt so badly. When the dye was inside my system and the doctors told me that I was going to feel some pain in my head, a tear ran down the side of my face. I can take a whole lot of pain but I cannot tolerate a headache. At that moment, I wanted to say, "Shoot me why don't you? I can't take it anymore. DANG!" Further along in the procedure, I felt a cool sensation followed by a burning sensation in my mouth. I thought that I was going crazy but I guess it was from the medication that was given to me. I thought that it was cool that I got to look at the x- rays of my brain and my body. I was in recovery for three hours. Today it was a HUGE job to get the glue out of my head from the EEG electrodes.

GREAT NEWS THOUGH... I found out that my memory is not near the area where the scar tissue in my brain is at. YAYYYY!!!! So now, I have to meet with my neurologist and the neurosurgeon to go through the depth electrodes study and then SURGERY time.

HOLLA!!!!
