Son he Cryptogenic Epilepsy

Thu, 02/14/2019 - 16:12
Hello my son has epilepsy. He’s had it since he was one years old. He is now five and on several medications. He has seen three different neurologist and no one can figure it out. None of the medicines have worked, they only caused more issues due to side effects. We live in Tennessee and they have finally legalized medicinal oils for epilepsy. Downside is his epilepsy doesn’t fall under the requirements to qualify........ though they don’t know his cause, meds don’t work, seizures are worsenin, and he doesn’t qualify?!?!?! That being said does anyone have any information on what state to move to, what insurance to get it, and would he qualify for the medicine? Any information will be helpful and appreciative, because we are to her wits end and love our baby so much, we’ll move if need be.

He's seen neurologists... has he been to a comprehensive epilepsy center and seen epileptologists? Have you done any genetic testing? You may have to go out of your state for a better children's hospital to get more answers.
