I personally use one, however it is a bed alarm. My son has nocturnal seizures and it has detected each one he has had. I have never heard of one that is 'mobile' and goes with the person.

Well, there are some out there, but I haven't heard of anyone really using them. Some people buy pulse oximeters. Those are the machines they hook the children up to on their toes to keep track of their oxygen. If the oxygen level drops the alarm sounds. Some parents tie bells on the bed. I hope the doc gave you a script for Diastat to have home and told you if the seizure lasts for more than 5 minutes to administer it. If not, I would insist on it. Some docs will give you a script for the pulse ox so the ins will cover. Good luck with the trileptal.
