Side effects from recovering from epilepsy

Hi. I had epilepsy up until the age of 8 years old. I am now 27. But I keep having these episodes which I put down to being panic attacks. My head just goes. I feel dizzy my throat goes numb. N in general feel rubbish. Are there any known side effects of epilepsy that would link these things. Its only been bad for around 1/2 years now. Thanks jeremy.

Hi,Thank you for posting. It is common for some people living with epilepsy to report experiencing feelings of anxiety. It’s important that you’re addressing these challenges with your healthcare team who is most familiar with your history and if experience any changes in any changes in seizure types/frequency, side effects, symptoms, mood or behaviors. They can work with you to help determine what individual treatment plan is best for you.
