There are two things will

There are two things will cause epilepsy: 1.lack of rest; 2.very angry. Normally you will expirenced a few symptoms before the incidence, such as: nervous twitched during the speaking and headache. The steps to prevent from incidence are : 1. lay down ASAP; 2. close your eyes, find the pain point on your head or face, and do the Chinese QIGONG massage for yourself, if you are doing the correct way, the pain should disappear within 5 mins; 3. then take good sleep. I developed Epilepsy after

I developed Epilepsy after having a High Fever that turned into Encephalitis when I was 2. I had problems in the classroom in my early grades that should have been a flag that I had a problem. I was held back in 3rd grade that was not necessary, sent to the principals office because of Day Dreaming and labeled a problem student. When I entered 4th grade I had a teacher that observed me and conferenced my parents to make an appointment to see a neurologist. I was diagnosed as having Absence Seizures . Once I took medicine it seemed to control my seizures. I was great until I was unfortunately caught in a curfew in Boston during the riots of the Vietnam war. I was beaten by 8 Boston Police that caused severe damage causing head injury which resulted in Brain Trauma.  I beaten so bad I could not speak for 6 months. Then seizures started. I started having Tonic-Clonic and Temporal Lobe Epilepsy. Falling caused me to have severe injuries. Not until I turned 60 did I have control over my seizures. I’ve been seizure free for 5 years. I graduated from college with a dual degree in baking and culinary. Then finished with another degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. While attending school I started a fundraiser that raised over $1000.00 and I started The Stephen Piorkowski Epilepsy Scholarship for persons, caregivers and or siblings of persons with Epilepsy. Sometimes it takes a lifetime to workout the challenges that Epilepsy gives us but I can say truly I faced my seizures head on and did not let Epilepsy get me down. I put down Epilepsy.
