2 step left temporal lobe surgery

Tue, 04/21/2015 - 11:07

Has anyone had a 2 step left temporal lobe surgery?  My neurologist is thinking, that my best option is a 2 step surgery.....the 1st surgery they would go in and put electrodes in my brain, wean me off meds to make me have a seizure or seizures to better pin point where my seizures are happening, then open me up a 2nd time to remove as much of the section of my brain where the seizures are happening (pending they can do so without harming my speech/language which happen to be on the left side)...if you've had this type of surgery, can you provide any feedback good or bad as to your experience, side effects, etc?  Thanks.
