After surgery issue....

Tue, 09/02/2008 - 18:29

Okay, so this is going to sound interesting, but I am wondering if anyone else has dealt with the same problem.  Four years ago I had a left temporal lobectomy.  Everything seemed to heal fine from the surgery bone and skin wise except one thing.  If I touch my head a certain way, like maybe rolling on the left side wrong I will hear a popping noise and holy moly it hurts like you know what!!!  After asking my doctors about it they seem to look at me like I am crazy.   You they like to pull the " I have never heard of that before" idea and change the subject.  Has anyone else had the same problem and if yes what have you done to resolve it.  I have really wanted to do something about for quite some time but have been a little concerned that maybe something didn't heal correctly, I have a problem with be a persimist.  If anyone has any suggestions it would be wonderful. Thanks!!

Amber,

I hope this note fines you well and happy.  I have had some of the same issues when I roll

over on my side, it even makes my ear pop sometimes.  I even wake up in the middle of

the night .  But I figure if it will help with the sz I can deal with it.  I did ask my doctors

and they told me that it was still healing and they told me just to get the most softess

pillow I can find and bare with it.  It has only been 2 1/2 months since my surgery

though.  I wish you the best and hope thing get better for you

Hi Amber28. I am having a Left Temporal loboctemy here in a few days on Election Day.  It might actually be normal for your head to hurt or "pop" since  your skull had to be removed. I can't tell you that for sure, since I have not had mine done yet, but that what I would say. If you could, please let me know about how everything went for you (recovery, aftermath, etc.) and how well you did. It would be greatly appreciated! I hope things are good for you! God Bless!
