Having brain surgery awake . . . . . ?

Sun, 11/09/2008 - 02:21
In 2005 I had surgery for my epilepsy hoping to get rid of it completely of course. The surgery didnt get rid of my seizures but it made them better. Now my parents and I are thinking of me having brain surgery awake. I know I would be having surgery a second time but I have been off my medications twice and I am such an outgoing person and my personality is much better than when I am on my meds. Im too quiet, shy and always tired when I am on them. I was just wondering if anyone on here has had brain surgery awake and if they would recommend it. Did it work for you and do you/ dont you have seizures anymore? If you know anything about having brain sugery awake please share that information with me. Thank you.
