Hemispherectomy Surgery- Infantile Spasms

Hello. My 11 month old suffered a Stroke sometime around birth, but was not diagnosed until 6 months. He is now scheduled for hemispherectomy surgery to stop his Infantile Spasms and any other syndromes of Epilepsy. He has been on ACTH, Topomax, Onfi...none have worked. I would like to hear other parents on this surgery and the out comes it had for their children. He is scheduled August 8th and I just want some support that I am doing the right thing. Thank you
