MY REPLACEMENT VNS IS ZAPPING ME ALSO

Sun, 01/25/2015 - 12:57

Very similar story. Initial VNS in 2007 was a miracle--reduced my use of Topomax to 300mg and within 18 months stopped seizures. Formerly they had been intractable. Also told whole system was ruined--and replaced this June when seizures returned. Surgery went well but complications post with voice damaged with infection requiring another surgery for repair to vocal chord. Tech came to turn VNS off for that surgery and instead turned it way up--basically electrocuting me for about 5 minutes before shutting down. Since then, when restarted I have had extreme bubbling in my neck and brain--can't reset above 1.25, and new symptoms of feeling electrified by using my computer/ iphone, etc--waves of electricity up my arms and and waves accross my chest coming from my pack [which was installed on the right side].  I am now reset at 1.0 which has taken the bubbling down, but am still electrified.  I have a new machine which can't be used higher--and the magnet even at the lowest setting shocks my brain by setting off mini explosions. What is going on?!  I was a huge fan of the VNS before this.  I'm really not in a position where I can have another neck surgery.
