Question about preop for invasive monitoring/temporal lobe resection

Hi everyone, I had been posting a while back, until our computer crashed. We are back online now and my son (15) is going in on 7/19 for bilateral depth electrodes and possible temporal lobe resection. I forgot to ask one question yesterday at the neurosurg appointment, so I thought I'd float it out here. Will they need to shave all or part of his head for the depth electrodes? What about for the resection? Thanks in advance Holly

When I had subdural electrodes They shaved my entire head. For the temporal lobectomy they only shaved half my head.

Okay, thanks. I wasn't sure about it, and would rather they shaved his whole head than in spots. He has a crew cut already, so I don't think he'll be too bothered by the shaving.
