Right Temporal Surgery 15 years ago.....reaccourance?

Wed, 04/26/2006 - 02:04
I was born with a benign glinoma brain tumor and had right temporal surgery as a child at age 9 to stop complex seizures. I have been having auras ever since teens and suffered depression/learning/speaking problems/memory problems/hormone problems etc. etc..and family doctor back then told me not to worry, but the episodes are so similar to what I had when I had my first tumor. The auras seem to be getting worse (kinda out of the blue as I get older) , anyone ever heard or had benign tumor reaccourance or any idea why I would be having seizures again even though I was suppose to be rid of them with surgery???

I had surgery last Jan...and it was then that they discovered & extracted a benign tumor. It was not cancerous, but it had grown over the years. If you are having problems, I'd guess that the entire tumor wasn't extracted and the remainder has grown. ~sol
