VNS?

Thu, 09/22/2016 - 21:46
I have been on many different medications with little success. Depakote has worked extremely well to control my seizures. Course not something you can stay on if you one day want a family and I am 30 . My dr will want to try lamictal and VNS together. Who out there has had or still uses VNS , I would love to hear stories and opinion. Thanks . :)

I haven't had the VNS but I have heard both positive and negative things about it.  You may also ask about the RNS.  Where the VNS is always on (pulses the brain continuously at a specific rate) the RNS detects when a seizure is about to happen and attempts to stop it by pulsing only when it detects an issue.
