VNS(Experiences)

Doctor suggested my using VNS and I hate idea. I need to know you if you've used it?

I have had the VNS put it. The surgery is very painful. It did not work for me, but I guess it is a life saver for others. I suggest you try it.

Thank you so. I hate strange objects in my body so VNS will be a last resort! Did you read where the company that makes it is being investingated by the FDA for not releasing "required" information to them?

I also read where it was only for partial seizures and I have generalized seizures? Any truth to that?

I have complex partial. I'm not sure where you got that information however it is false. I had my VNS put in as of Oct 2007 and I've been doing just fine with it. For what it's worth, take the information you get online with a grain of salt and have open communication with your doctor.
