Hello,
Hello,
Hey
I have had seizures since my late teens. They only occured once or twice a year and were always tonic/clonic. I am now 65 and for the last 2 years I have been having partials plus nocturnals quite often. They have been weekly or more. My neuologist is unsure if aging is a key factor in the changes I am having. Are any of you experiencing aging related changes? Do any of you have info on aging/epilepsy. The articles I find here don't give much info. Thanks
How do you know when it is time to switch to a new medication? I currently take two seizure medications, but after 3 years on this combination, my simple partial seizures are getting much more frequent and more intense. They are very mild but happen in clusters just about every day, and of course there is always the possibility that the partial seizure could develop into a generalized seizure (which has happened with me, but very rarely).
Why do I get so tired after I have an aura but no seizure? I have so many questions about everything. Where should I begin. I'm still unsure about what kind of seizures I'm having. Can keppra cause me to have weight gain? What is the best medicine out there? What should I ask the doctor? I have such a hard time focusing lately and remembering times and days and even counting money back! Its getting better but not completely. Also why do different patterns or lights like a disco ball make me have excruciating headaches and feel like I'm having an aura?
