Epilepsy Foundation Multicultural Outreach Program Announces Funds for Social Determinants of Health Mini Grants

The Epilepsy Foundation Multicultural Outreach Program announces the availability of funds to award up to 10 Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) mini grants during fiscal year 2024. These grants help to address determinants of health that impact people living with epilepsy focused on addressing legal issues, discrimination, policing, and public safety.

Grant funds of $10,000 per applicant will be awarded to Epilepsy Foundation affiliates and epilepsy-related community-based organizations that are in collaboration with multi-sector agencies, such as public health associations, policing agencies, civic rights organizations, criminal justice groups, or area health education centers.

This is a limited competition application process that is funded through the cooperative agreement between the Epilepsy Foundation and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Multi-sector organizations and law enforcement agencies are eligible to apply but must be affiliated with Epilepsy Foundation affiliate, epilepsy-related agency or regional staff.

If you need help making a connection to an epilepsy agency, please contact Thometta Cozart at Tcozart@efa.org
