Complex partial seizures and a boiling head !

HI, I've been an Epileptic 21 years. I suffer from complex partial seizures. This morning while I was having a great many seizures I bent over and It felt like I had put the top of my head into boiling water.
I sat up quickly, didn't think much of it but when the next seizure started it happened again. Altogether it happened 4 times. Has anyone had this before? Does anyone know if this is common in temporal lobe epilepsy?

Hi Nina that can't have been a pleasant experience for you, quite scary in fact. I also have TLE and although I don't get a boiling head sensation I do get a feeling that a pressure is building in my head and almost like it is burning and can become incredibly hot if that makes any sense to you. I expect you'll be letting your neuro know when you next meet. Best wishes. Bex

Hi thanks for replying. I've told my Neuro but she says it will go off. It is the most bizarre thing I have felt. Do you get this often?
my seizures have changed recently and after 21 years it's very disconcerting.

Hi IV been having seizures for About a year now but all my seizures since may come with a aura of burning at the back of my head. I get this before and during a seizure. Its that hot that it's even physically hot to touch by others. My neurologist and neurosurgeon said they have never heard of it before. But clearly it's because no one is ever noting it down as this seems a common thing!
