Hi I've found out I'm pregnant with twins (9weeks).This on its own is a high risk case, not to mention the epilepsy also. Has anyone else with epilepsy had twins?

congratulations on your pregnancy!!! What a suprise to find out you're having twins. I'm sorry I've not had twins, so I'm not much help at all, but I would imagine your ob will talk this through with you at your next appointment? if he/she doesn't, then make sure you bring it up!

Hey Congratulations on having twins.I'm only 18 so obviously I have no kids and am still in school so I might not be any help. But, what I can say is, there is a high risk that one or both kids will have epilepsy. It can be genetic and they might or might not have it. For me, I myself am a twin. I'm 5 minutes older. I have seizures and my twin doesn't. But in my case, it isn't genetic and I'm the first in my entire family and relitives to have epilepsy. The point is, yur kids have a chance of being seizure free even if you're epileptic. Hope everything is good for you and everything turns out great. Best of luck and God bless. Sophs
