So nice to have a community of cyber friends to share with

I have only been here a short time and altho I have noticed a few (very few now in retrospect) posters with a tendency to criticize and lecture, I have met an ABUNDANCE of nice folks with which to share my own human experiences with epilepsy...all the stuff that go along that diagnoses and the treatments that correspond. I just want to thank the creators of this site, along with all my fellow posters who take a moment to pass along a word of encouragement to another poster who may need it. It can mean the world believe me. This site has been invaluable to me not only in terms of my ability to reach out and easily find epilepsy information, but in reaching out for human contact and folks that understand what I am going through. Being unable to drive, I have felt such a sense of frustration and isolation and have been coming to this site everday for inspiration and companionship. (I have been accustomed to going to work everyday before my seizure incapacitated me, so this has staying at home business been quite a change.) Now I live way 'out in the sticks' so there is no local support group easily reachable by transportation services for me..YOU guys are it!!! I love your blog feature..its the first time I have done so and I can even set it up so my doc get get into it to see how I'm doing which is really nice for her since she is so far away from me and worries about me being out in the sticks, isolated, etc. its a way for her to keep in touch too. :) So thanks again My.epilepsy.com...here is one member who is SOOO glad ya'll are here! :) Spaznurse

Well said spaznurse! And I can contact you all from rainy England, as there are no sites like this one over here and with out it I think I would have pulled my hair out - especially being off work for almost 4 months! This site does stop me going crazy. Best wishes to you Bex
