Finding Legal Help

The Jeanne A. Carpenter Epilepsy Legal Defense Fund wants to help you find a lawyer with experience handling discrimination issues. The Epilepsy Foundation does not provide direct legal advice or represent you in a legal case. Instead, we will try to connect you with a lawyer who is willing to help with your legal concern.

  • Our referral lawyers agree to provide an initial consult and services, up to three hours at no cost to you.
  • If you need help beyond three hours, you will need to discuss terms and any fees directly with the lawyer.
  • Some lawyers may agree to continue helping you free of charge, on a contingency basis, or on a reduced fee scale.

Despite our best efforts, it is sometimes difficult to find a lawyer willing to provide this level of free services. However, we will try our best to make appropriate referrals.

"Thank you so much, I really appreciate you reaching out. I will let you know what happens. - J.P., consumer"
