Did an earache cause my seizure, or the epilepsy cause the earache?

I had severe ear pain (both ears) in the morning the day before I had my third Grand Maul seizure. The pain spread down from behind my ear, down behind my jaw, and was swollen, like my glands under my jaw feel when I am sick, but the glands under my jaw were normal. The ear pain continues(not so much behind my ear) almost a month. The intensity of the pain varies greatly. I don't notice it a lot of the time, but there are many mornings that the pain is severe like something will pop inside of it. I also get random pain during the day and night. Do I have an earache, and that is what lead up to my seizure, and pushing me closer to my seizure threshold? Or does getting close to the seizure threshold for other reasons cause ear pain?

I had 3 seizures due to withdrawls from 2 controlled substances that my doctor didnt wean me off before stopping me on the drugs. Now this was last Wednesday that i had these 3 seizures and it is now 10 days later and ive still got a headache and severe ear pain in my left ear. My doctor said it was from my allergies that caused me to get an ear infection,. Im not buying that. The ear pain came WITH my seizure, ALONG with the headache that hasnt went away after 10 days now. Im wondering if i need to see a neurologist...
