Complementary therapy....Charlotte's Web, Stanley Brothers, CBD oil.

Sat, 02/27/2016 - 23:22
I have left temporal lobe epilepsy and take CBD oil since 11/24/2015 gradually weaning off the drugs that didn't work. Charlotte's Web strain CBD oil by the Stanley Brothers works for me. I can't express how joyful I am. I did this VERY slowly and with my doctor's supervision. I also weaned off anti-depressants. It was tough for a few months but I supplemented my brain the best I knew how or could read about and gradually I came out from all of the toxic drugs that were in my system. The Vimpat anti-epileptic drug causes depression. Go figure....

Great that cbd oil works for you. It never did for me so I know its not a cure-all. Please be aware that this is also a drug and the side effects are unknown. .I'm sure u will want to continue using it regardless. You will see side effects though so make sure u keep track of them. Just because it is derived from a natural product does not make it "safe"- if that was true cocaine would be also

Here in NM the many clinics

Here in NM the many clinics that grow and sell medical cannabis often have Drs that you can consult with there. There will often be a couple/few different specialists available like pain specialists or neurologists depending on your needs. They are there to answer any questions and concerns and can also "prescribe" it to you depending on your medical needs. They are also generally Drs with a lot of experience and have seen the whole range of patient types and different available treatments throughout their careers. If you are in a state with a medical cannabis program you should not need to travel to Colorado for safe access. You will need to start kind of slow and experiment with different strain types to see what is most effective for you. Not all medical cannabis is grown under the most ideal and organic conditions and some companies out there are in it for the money. Cannabis is something I think more people should be willing to try in light of the other Rx's we're given to try with often horrible results. Cannabis can't hurt you like many Rx's do and it also has a pretty mild side effect profile that is more tolerable than most treatment options. It doesn't work for everyone but it is worth a try and can at the very least help improve quality of life issues if it doesn't directly stop seizure activity.

I've had seizures for five

Submitted by LaGallina on Wed, 2017-09-27 - 11:18
I've had seizures for five months, just diagnosed yesterday.A couple months ago a friend sent me CV Sciences CBD oil for my birthday. I was hesitant to try it, but it has made a positive impact on my simple partial seizures that I get almost 2 times a week. Mainly it helps with the insanely scary paranoid thoughts I have before a seizure and  the twitching is milder.  I run 3 miles and cycle 15 miles five days a week and I always take it before I go cycling and running, and even if I have a seizure while I'm active, with the CBD I am able to manage it. I definitely go slower, but am able to safely continue my bike ride or run. I don't want to take pharma drugs, its just on in alignment with how I live. But I do feel like I'd live to explore taking a stronger dose of CBD and maybe with a smaller ratio of THC and see if I can manage my epilepsy better. Has anyone experimented with that?
