Seizures and Energy Therapies

Sat, 10/27/2007 - 11:22
I first started having seizures after a car accident in 1997. Initially, it was diagnosed as epilepsy. After 7 neurologists, the diagnosis changed to psychogenic seizures. Conventional psychotherapy, however, had no effect. A little while later, I began to learn about energy therapies, namely EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and TAT (Tapas Acupressure Technique). I later became a practitioner in both and they are the foundation of my life coaching practice. I dont know about the psychogenic diagnosis, but I have had excellent control for the last year or so, and have been seizure free for the last six months. Perhaps it is from the methods giving better stress management, and making sure I get enough sleep, I dont know for sure, but somehow, they work, and I felt compelled to share my story here. John

Hi John, thanks for sharing. I always enjoy reading about success stories. My wife didn't have much success with QiGong Acupressure - at least as far as seizure control goes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Check out my chart of alternative epilepsy treatments.
