Why is there more info on Keto diet for weight loss then for Epilepsy???

ARGH I am feeling so frustrated! I want to change my diet to put myself in ketosis either through Ketogenic diet or Modified Atkins, but I find more info on the health benefits for people loosing weight or trying to build muscles.  There are entire apps devoted to recipeis for these people - yet so little devoted towards epileptics.  Should I follow there lead, then check my pee each day to see if I'm in ketosis?  My dr. is still willing to see if there is a miracle cocktail out there that he can whip up that eventually will lead me down the path to fewer seizers. So I'm on my own here - no diatician.

I feel you're frustration.  Last year I tried keto as well.  I almost started my own blog because I had the same feelings you are.  About 6 months in I fell off, it was so hard (I went on vacation to New Orleans - kiss of death) But I developed some really great relationships with people who were on it for dietary reasons,  and started working with this cool company that sells pales and keto home delivery meals.  I still buy thier meals.  CavemanChefs.com.   Good luck.  I'll try to find some of the things that were most helpful to me and post them.
