Just sent this to a neurologist a minute ago. Can any professionals take a look?

Hi, my name is Robert I am a sophomore in High school. I don't have epilepsy but i am in an intensive medical course and I am currently supposed to be doing it. Anyways, me and my ADD brain are just going over and over how epilepsy could function and why current treatments that work actually work. I was wondering about one treatment in particular, the "Vagus Nerve Stimulation" treatment. It sends small burst of electric energy to your brain and so on. It says (in what I have read) that even though it reduces the frequency of seizures by 20-40% scientists are not exactly sure why. I just was wondering, could particular types of epilepsy that have more unprovoked seizures where brief blocks in the connections between the nerve cells in the brain immediately result in a seizure response, be benefited by this treatment because during the brief disconnection the brain's panic state (or whatever causes the actual seizure) is sated by the comfort of an electrical impulse still being received? This makes since in my head but I wanted to see what a professional thought.
