Discharged from the EMU

Thu, 06/25/2015 - 14:41

I give yall props that can stay here for a full week. Only been here 4 days and I'm done!

So I had two episodes while being here and no epileptic activity was found. I'm being discharged with the diagnosis of PNES and conversion disorder. So they're putting me on "happy pills" and I'll be referred to a psychologist. Hopefully I can be treated quickly so these episodes stop, I can't take them anymore.

Thank you everyone for all your help in helping me find a diagnosis!

I think I posted to your post about the EMU... Yes a person can have seizures and not be an epileptic. Oh and they arent always PNES Epilepsy is basically a seizure disorder, As is PNES and others.nationalseizuredisordersfoundation.org     <<< Is a national foundation that deals with other seizures. SO look up things in their web site which I posted I hope this helps and you do get the assistance you need. Joe

I did check that website out, only issue is there's not much information out there really, especially on conversion disorders. But it definitely helped me joining this website and getting help from you and Amy Jo especially
