Thank you for your reply.
She seems to be worse early morning and during the night. In the day she seems to do the eye flickering which is in the video link above. In the morning when she wakes up she goes all stiff and falls to the floor and is unable to get up staight away. when this is finished she sometimes complains of tummy ace. The community paediatrician my daughter is seeing in the u.k is adamant that if the eeg is normal then she does not have epilepsy and she could be faking it for attention.

My 15 year old son's first EEG came back normal (along with a normal CT scan), a second one revealed abnormal patterns. He has only had one episode of shakes and just one convulsion. He has been diagnosed with JME which typically manifests itself in adolescence. If your daughter has had at least two separate episodes, she is considered an epileptic. Many people with this condition has to have several EEG through their journey. They are different types: regular EEG, sleep deprived EEG, Video EEG, EEG upon awakening, 24/7 EEG, Sleep study EEG to name some to come to mind. Literature here says that EEG tend to be normal after an episode and that another one needs to be done within month after; as a matter of fact, neuros schedules this for yearly checkups too and as needed. Good luck
