Very Long Seizure Episodes

Fri, 07/15/2005 - 20:11

In the last two and a half years i have had about 7-8 seizures.  never before did i have them and not until recently did a doctor even know what was happening to me.  the first 4 episodes were thought to have been severe anxiety attacks and that's why i supposedly lost conciousness.  however i recently began seeing a new neurologist for my migraines and was told that i was most likely having seizures.

i had a 5 day video monitoring eeg and it was abnormal i guess.  my episode last for about 4-6 hours usually (not seizing the whole time of course) and i'm completely out of it the whole time. i don't remember having these episodes and only know i have them because i wake up in the hospital hours later.  my last one happened in the hospital and lasted 9 hours.

does anyone else experience anything like this?
