David or JeannamaeThere are several posts on this site discussing demonic possession regarding mental illness. Epilepsy has a history of thousands of years and throughout those years many epileptics have suffered from death, shunning, torture, ostracism, suspicions of demonic possession due to seizures, and worse. Many people of this site have posted they have depression, anxiety, bipolar, OCD, ADD, ADHD, and other "mental illness's" and I am positive these people are not demonically possessed. That is NOT the focus of this site, at least I thought. I agree in spirited debate but accusing people of being demonically possessed is not spirited debate it is mean spirited, unenlightened, and has no place on an epilepsy support and information site.I respectfully request all posts discussing the devil, demonic possession, or anything of the ilk? Be removed. I think great harm could be done to others if this is allowed to stand. If I am disagreed with, and these posts about the devil stand? Please accept my resignation. Other than these posts, I have enjoyed immensely my membership here and with a heavy heart, resign. I will not participate in another's excuse for behaviors she can not square with others. Gretchen.

I too agree that those postings should be removed.  They have no place on ANY site.  We are not possesed people.  Anxiety, depression, and Bipolar Disorder and its variatns are all at times part of epilepsy.  They are common things that coexsist with it, and one compounds the other.

However, this stuff that was posted at some point in time has got nothing whatsoever to do with epilepsy in any way.  It isn't fair to us to have that put there for the entire Net world to see and gain an even more negative picutre of this.

Moderators please remove it.  They are offensive to Christians and many other religions that are a part of people's lives on here. 

I will not leave over that, but am not happy that someone had the gull to post that kind of crap on a site where the people's ability to deal with or cope with their epilepsy is very delicate.
