My knowledge comes from 50

My knowledge comes from 50 years of experience in dealing with my epilepsy.  During that time I've met with over a dozen doctors, tried 16 medications, been hospitalized many times, had a couple brain surgeries...The lamotrogine (brand name Lamictal) you are taking is a treatment for seizures.  If the grand mal seizures are not happening anymore then there is a fair chance that lamotrogine is also helping to control any auras that you may have experienced.  Leaning about epilepsy and the best treatment for yourself is time consuming.  Be patient.  If you are not satisfied with the answers your doctor is giving you consider seeking another doctor with whom you can relate better.Mike
