I need help...

Wed, 05/13/2009 - 21:57
My name is Edgar and I am 20 years old. I have been living with epilepsy for a long time now and have always been covered for my perscriptions by my moms insurance. My parents are in their mid 50's now and are planning on retiring soon but my mom doesn't want to because then we will need to pay full cost for my meds (Lamotrigine [generic sub for lamictal] and Levetiracetam [generic sub for Keppra]). Without the insurance they would cost somewhere around $1,000 per refill, aka every month... so I was wondering if there is anyway to get that same coverage through some other method. medi-care, medi-cal, medic-aid, medic-WHATEVER! lol. Please help with any info that you can. It will be greatly appreciated. thanks!

DG,

Post this to the medication issues board.  If  memory serves me correctly, someone posted some information regarding obtaining medication when one can't afford it.  I believe it was within one of the Keppra threads pertaining to Generic Keppra.
