Kaiser neurologists in the Washington DC area

Sat, 08/14/2010 - 15:03

So here are the neurologists listed in my area for Kaiser (which sad to say, is my insurance plan for now).

Has anyone heard of any of these and/or have good or bad experiences?  I need to pick a new one. The first one I saw (Dr. Daniel Glor) was a dud.

Richard J. McCarthy - med school Johns Hopkins, residency University of Penn

Kristin Adams - med school - University of Pittsburgh, Residencey University of Texas S.A.

Susan Calkins - med school NY Medical College, Residency Mount Sinai

Andrew J. Dutka - med school - Albert Einstein (NY), residency National Naval Medical Center

Melvin Kong - Med school - University of Calgary; residency Baylor College of Med.

Marta Archutowska - Med school - Academy of Medicine; Residencey GW University

Robert J. Coppola - Des Moines Univ of Osteopathic Med; Residency Cleveland Clinic

David C. Lipps - GW University of Med; Residency - Walter Reed

Barbara J. Scherokman - Medical College of Georgia; residency Duke University

I had a brief experience with Dr. Lipps when I wound up in a local ER. I was pleased with him and like where he got his training. Only real downside is a 1 hour commute to his office from work (since I don't have a license). I am lucky to be near public transportation so it is doable without depending on family/friends... just pretty inconvenient. Any experience with him or others? Thanks for ANY input.
