Need Help on Choosing Insurance

What type of health insurance plan do you have? I am just starting out (OneShopInsurance) and wondered what most actors have in terms of health insurance. Do you have it through your second job? Or go through an individual insurance plan? I currently live in NJ, but may eventually move to NY. Do you have any recommendations?? I appreciate any input! I have been surfing the net for good health insurance, i came into http://www.oneshopinsurance.com has anyone tried online insurance? how effective is the online quote system? can i depend my money on these?

Suggest you do homework first on looking at what you need before you buy anything. The cheapest is not always what is the best and what works for one, doesn't work for everyone. Look if services you need are covered, especially the drugs that you are on, or may be on in future. Look for amounts of deductible as well as copays required. Also, consider whether you may have access to all the providers you may use - specialists, mental health, rehab, etc.

Usually getting insurance through employer is more affordable or some type of group insurance. Am not familiar with online quote system, but would not base decisions on a quote. Make sure you know exactly what you are getting for how much!

Good luck!

Hey, I just had a right temporal lobectomy about one week ago. I have received my insurance statement. I have BCBS of AL. I have an individual plan with my work. My doc is at UAB. My insurance has paid for everything with my epilepsy. I totaled up how much I have spent at UAB. I have spent about $131,500. My insurance has paid everything but about $2,000 (co-pays and other stuff). I am sooooo glad that BCBS has paid that much. So, I would recommend them. Good luck with your insurance issues/problems.
