Son needs to see a neurologist to get prescription for medicine but has no money to pay for office visit
Tue, 05/12/2009 - 09:53I'm writing on behalf of my adult son who started having gran mal seizures about 8 years ago. He has not been taking his medication and recently had another seizure. He has no health insurance and cannot get his medicine because he cannot afford to see a neurologist at approximately $400 a visit. Even if he had the money to see the neurologist they would insist on doing tests which he also cannot afford.
Any suggestions on where my son can find assitance in seeing a neurologist at a low cost in Phoenix, Arizona? My son does not qualify for state health assistance because his income is above the poverty level. He barely makes enough to pay his rent, utilities and food.

Well those two beat me to the punch!
You'll find the Epilepsy Foundation of Arizona to be a very supportive network. If you don't find resources there, post again and we'll see what else we can do.
