Is there any possibility that I could get temp disability?

I am going to turn 19 in Dec. and 30 days after that, I get kicked off my dad's insurance. I do not have a job, since I can't drive, and we live probably 20 miles out of town, so walking isn't an option. So I have no idea what I am going to do. I've had Epilepsy for about 2 years now and I still don't have it under control. They've just recently raised my Tegretol to 1200mg and I think I've been having sz at night now. So any help/info would be greatly appreciated!

Nichole,
If you apply for either temporary or permanate disabitly. Do not be suprised if you get turned down the first time most states turn down 90% of appilcants. There is no need to get a Lawer you just need to do a second application (an appeal) in most cases the appeal is granted. You would only need to get an attorny after the appeal is not granted. This adivce was given to me by an attorny that works for the State. Best of luck to you.

They offered me the Dole, I refused and after 4 mettings I finally succeded to get the Disability and pay no tax. I got referrals and reports from local Doc and Neurologist. I can not return to work if accident no workcover. I understand your feelings they dont, when apply tell a few little white lies, Legally you can get and I wish you the best of luck Love. bhenn@bigpond.com

nichole, The best advice I can give u for now is to apply for Temp Disability with the state and if u get it u will have medicaid or what ever health Ins for your state. iF you get turned down the first time get a lawyer and u dont have to pay for that either because the state will pay him. U do need to get Documentaion from doctors about illness to give to ssi or disability.
