Mon, 01/31/2005 - 12:30
Hi i have not posted before but has been following the discussions made by people. I am comfused at the moment, i will explain.I was just diagnoise with partial seizures end of last year. Certain things which would trigger the seizures. I went to my doctor abt 3 weeks ago and told him how i keep having my seizurs so often. He started me on low dose of sodium valproate 2x200mg tabs morning and night then after one week to increase to one tab in the afternoon since taking them i have less seizures and feels like i can live again. But to day i hd appointment with my Neurology doctor he was running an hour late how frustrating is that. When it was my turn to see him i explain abt my seizures and he look at my eeg cat scan, while he was looking trough my notes he notice that my result of my MRI scan was not there so he look at me and said"this is why i am running late i have to work with incompetent staff".While waiting for the result he said thati would need to do a 24 eeg then he said he wont start me on med when i said that the doc has started me on med he shuck his head and said to come straight off them and talk abt the side effect more then every, not abt my life how the med worked for me i felt like that he was in a stress/mood. So i think he is writting to my doc, i just feel i don't know wht to do if there take me off the meds. My life wont be the same and i would be having more seizures, at the mo on this dose its been ok and trying to lead a normal life.
