Experience and dosing of Briviact (Briviteracetam) as have swapped from Keppra (Leviteracetam)

Hi I had been on Keppra 750mg twice a day for 18 months. I am now on Briviact - has anyone any experience of the swap? What dosing have people been switched to? I have read that it is between a reduction of 1/15 and 1/10 - ie if you were on 500mg twice a day -at 1/10 you would go to 50mg Briviact twice a day. what side effects are people getting and has anyone got a positive experience to share of Briviact? many thanks M

Hi there, I made the switch to Briviact about 2 years ago bec keppra side effects were quite bad. Briviact has definitely been a lot better to me! I switched from 1,500mg keppra to 150mg Briviact. (750 twice a day to 75, like you guessed). Experience on briviact has definitely been better! Doesn't have the same intense emotional side effects that keppra had. I also stopped losing weight (hair looks healthy--yay!). Dosing is probably the tricky part. At 100mg I felt great, but had a sz after a while. Have had full control on higher dosages. (On the other end of the scale, was for a while at 200mg and I couldn't concentrate much at all.) So like any medicine, side effects will be personal to you and your dosage. I for one and much happier with briviact right now and I'm happy to kiss keppra goodbye forever. Best of luck!B

Thanks so much. It seems to
