Need a better brand of Phenobarbital

Eli Lilly made Pheno., sold the rights to Ranbraxy. Now Ranbraxy decided to not produce it. Now I'm looking for a good replacement brand that is just as effective. My HMO (Kaiser) has me taking "Qualitest" but I notice severe drowsiness, a feeling of intoxication, & an occasional aura, which I never experienced with the Lilly brand. Does anybody know of a brand that might be more like the pills I use to take?

It seems to be difficult to find a lot of information on phenobarbital. (We will have general information about it on epilepsy.com very soon.) One reliable and comprehensive source of information on medications is:http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginformation.htmlI couldn't find "Qualitest" listed but there are a number of other brands. Perhaps your pharmacist can help?

I have been taking Phenobarb for 25 years and never even thought about a brand.  Is there a brand that has fewer side effects?  If so I too would love to know.  I usually just take the generic they fill me with at Publix!

I experience memory problems on Phenobarb, tried to switch to Depakote with not so good results.  Any suggestions most appreciated!
