Well benji I have my seizure at night also but I had a few in the morning. I was diagnosis actually by my primary care doctor but he wanted me to see a seizure doctor because they know how the meds will work. I now take TRILEPTAL 300mg twice a day. I will take one for breakfast and dinner. What ever meds you have you have to take it the way the doctor told you.

Sometimes it depends on the medication as much as when you have your seizures. Some meds, like Keppra, have a very short half life of 6-7 hours, I think. If you only dosed at night, the medicine would not stay steady in your blood and could allow a daytime seizure. Zonegran is one of the few I hear about that is approved for once a day dosing. The half life is 68-72 hours! Hoping you can get good control over your nocturnals.

Hi benji- all my sz are nocturnal too. My neuro wants me to keep an even med level in my blood, so she has me taking them every eight hours. My advice is to follow what your MD says. keep smilin' -cc
