Trileptal

Sat, 12/11/2004 - 09:25
I have been on Keppra for 9 months for complex partial siezures. It has worked to control my siezures, but it is making my hair fall out! My neurologist started me slowly replacing the Keppra with Trileptal. Since I started the Trileptal a week ago, I have had a constant headache. Has anyone else experienced this?

That sounds like my son. He has been on Trileptal for a year and a half. But I remember when he started the medicine, he complained about headaches a lot during that time period. I never associated it with the trileptal! Because of the headaches, the doctor started him on a second medication, zonegran. That stopped the headaches. Now he is on Trileptal and Keppra but he doesn't have any problems with hair. Thanks for your question.
