First seizure help please!

Sun, 10/29/2017 - 01:43
Hi I’m 23. 3 weeks ago I woke up, was getting ready and had a tonic clinic seizure for the first time. It lasted 2-3min and I was not lucid for about an hour. (I woke up once to EMS standing around me asking questions I couldn’t answer and then blacked out again until I woke up in a hospital bed.) My blood sugar and CT were normal. Ive been on Wellbutrin XL 150mg for nearly a year. A month before my seizure it was increased to 300mg. I’m wondering if it’s likely that’s the sole reason? And if it was because Wellbutrin lowered my seizure threshold does that mean I have a lower threshold than most people and should be more careful? Or if it was caused by the meds, if I stop taking them is it likely I’ll be fine and it was just a random occurance? I’m just looking for some insight/opinions. Just as a side note, since being on Wellbutrin my sleep schedule has decreased significantly as has my appetite.. not sure if that’s related. And since the seizure I’ve had a terrible persistent headache- is that normal?

It is concerning these could be side effects of wellbutrin.  Definitely check with the prescriber and your neuro for details
