I am having seizures during sleep two consecutive nights, what should I do?

Most of the time I live alone, last weekend, I slept over at two friends' place. On Saturday morning, my friend A said she saw me having a seizure at around 6 am, she was woke up by the noise I was making which sound like I could not breath, my arm are sticking out shaking, one leg curled and shaking, my neck trying to get up and my throat seems to be stuck could not breath. She tried to woke me up but I have no respond. After around 1 minute I stopped shaking but still hard to breath, then I turned to sleep on the side and gradually breath well. When she told me this in the morning, I actually didn't think about it as a serious issue, I feel my legs are very sour and feel a bit fever on my neck the next day. However, the second night I slept over at my friend B's place and the other morning, she said I had seizure again at around 3 am. She said my arms are sticking out but didn't shake much, but my neck again trying to get up and have trouble breathing and making noise through my throat. She tried to lift my back but could not and she then flipped me to sleep on my side and this actually helped me stopped the seizures. I found I bite my tongue after I woke up and this time I am afraid. I went to see a doctor and he sent me to do EEG and MRI (but he said the possibility to find the cause through those tests is not high) , I am still waiting for the result but I already got the prescribed medicine. I saw lots of posts online and saying people with epilepsy will stay with medicine all their life, I am OK with this but I really want to find out the real reason of why this is happening. My questions are: 1) How can I know why this is happening, what is the cause of my seizures? Is the nocturnal epilepsy for sure? I can take any tests if it is needed to diagnose this. ( I heard some 24h EEG) 2) Can this be cured and to get rid of medicine? If you had similar symptoms as I do and get cured, please let me know. Thanks a lot for reading this long post, this is a great forum!

Thanks Joe for the info, am new here just a few minutes ago my 4 yo had her second seizure. I freaked out, I had rectal diazepam and I gave her it continued for several minutes. I had refused to start medication cause she has had only two seizures minus this one and they have been far apart but now am reconsidering giving her meds. Her EEG and MRI show abnormalities.
